When you change the colors, make sure to twist the yarns so that the knitting project does not have holes between different colors.

When you insert a new color, make sure to make a tight knot to secure the yarn. Do not forget to carry the non-working yarn behind the project. You may use any kind of technique you prefer to create floats.

At this point, your project will be a square 14” in length and width. You may slightly wet the pillowcase, place it on a flat surface, and wait until it dries.

Assembling the pillow

First, grab your sewing needle and the fabric designated for the back of the pillow. To keep the fabric edges in place while you work, you can use bobby pins to secure them. Start sewing along the edges of the fabric, leaving one side open.

Once you’ve sewn the other sides, insert the pillow into the pillowcase through the opening. Finally, continue sewing to close this last opening, securing your pillow inside the case.
